DR Singles Championships - Saturday, October 26, 2013



On Saturday, October 26 the DR DGC Singles League Championships were held. It was an extension of the current Saturday Handicap Singles League, but for the Championships, both Handicap and Scratch scores were paid out after two-rounds of golf (as opposed to the normal one round).



Two rounds of golf were played and the results below reflect the people who got paid out for finishing tops with either their handicap score or their scratch score. A golfer could only cash in one or the other.

Twenty-five golfers were out Saturday for the Championships. Apologies that all golfers aren't aren't listed (full results weren't provided...only the names of those who got $$).  18 of the 25 golfers cashed.

The weekend of Oct 27 & 28 is the League Championships. Handicap singles on Saturday, and random draw doubles (based on handicaps) on Sunday. Two separate tournaments, two separate days, two separate ace pots. Both are two rounds. Register each day for each event no later than 9:30am. The new course layout made its debut for the first time for the Saturday Singles League, having made its official debut last Monday. Looks like the locals have some re-learning to do when it comes to their home course.

Course par is 72 (Pro par is 54 which is the number that the handicaps are based on).

A gorgeous July morning in Eastern Maine had 10 disc golfers out for the Handicap Singles League this weekend. The sun was shining, temperatures were in the 70s, low humidity, and surprisingly not too many bugs.
