Team Challenge Held at Ackers Acres DGC

The Team Challenge for January was held today at Ackers Acres disc golf course in Bowdoinham. The weather was nice for a January day, sunny and mid-30s, though some clouds did move in during the afternoon hours. Nine teams with six golfers each meant that 54 golfers were out today to take part in this event.

Thanks for Dave Ackers for hosting the event at his course, a very nice wooded course. He and others spent the week using their sleds to pack down the fairways, making the hunt for many of the discs easier. Also thanks to the Ackers Assassins disc golf club for running the event and providing some yummy food for the lunch break.

Players meeting to get it all started

Your Orrington team had a very last minute call-out, and after some scrambling, the injured Ryan Enman stepped up and filled the open spot. Also traveling to the course to represent the club were Justin Gott, Ryan Curran, Matt Enman, Noah Fecteau and Joe the Mason. We didn’t far as well as the previous two events, but we weren’t last!
