Sunday Doubles - December 18, 2011 (Final One of the Season)

COLD! The sun was out but did nothing to help the temperature rise higher than 15-20F for the final Sunday Doubles of the 2011 season. But this is disc golf, and cold weather didn’t stop 18 golfers from coming out to face it.

Results below. Course par is 72.

Cloud Forrest & Matt Stillwagon 54 1st

Mason Walling & Matt Enman 55 t2nd

Ryan Curran & Lucas Butler 55 t2nd

Aaron Parcak & Matt Young 55 t2nd

-----

Jeremy Moulton & Justin Gott t56

Josh Stoll & Josh Lynch t56

Conall Stillwagon & Joe the Mason t60

Rick Abbott & Casey Poussard t60

John Parcak & Noah Fecteau 63

With one ace pot capped at $250, and second one capped at $250, there was a players revolt - riot police, tear gas, tanks, pepper spray...you know, the works - it was decided that if nobody hit an ace during today’s round, each doubles player would get a chance to win 1/5 of the ace pot with a CTP throw to basket 1. It will come as no shocker to hear that nobody hit an ace, so the CTP commenced. The closest 5 discs who pocketed $50 of the first capped ace pot were: Justin Gott, Matt Young, Josh Lynch, Noah Fecteau and Joe the Mason. (Thanks to Ryan & Dave Enman for agreeing to this.)

The one capped carry-over ace pot ($250) and the other carry-over ace pot, which is now at $45, will hibernate until Sunday Doubles picks up again in the Spring of 2012.

Happy holidays to all disc golfers and thanks from the Enmans for choosing DR Disc Golf. See you in the Spring of 2012. The announcement for when the clubhouse will be opening next year will be made here and on the facebook page at some point in March or April 2012 (but hopefully sooner if Old Man Winter gives us a break).

Directions to the course are here. Check us out on facebook here.
