With Hurricane Irene downgraded to a tropical storm, the front edge of the storm hadn’t quite reached Orrington in time for doubles, but it was raining most of the round with only occasional winds.
Eight golfers made it out for the fun.

Last week, Sunday August 21, Matt Stillwagon and Cloud Forrest each got an ace. Cloud’s on hole 1 and Matt’s on hole 18. They split the first $250 ace pot.
There is still the other carry-over, now current, ace pot sitting at $250 just waiting to go home with somebody. But for now, it’s still waiting as no aces were hit today. The carry-over ace pot is building and sits at $55.
